ANTIQUE REPRODUCTION FABRICS AND COLOURS INFORMATION
TIMBER COLOURS/STAINS:
All antique reproduction furniture comes in “pecan” stain as standard. If any other stain/colour required, please specify such on the order. (In the custom field.) You will also need to include this information on your sales order reports each week/month.
We can order repro also in “walnut” which is darker and has a reddish tone. Generally we order some walnut Chippendale canopy beds and bedsides as regular stock, though not as many as we order in pecan. There is no extra charge for orders in walnut.
We can also order in “French white” finish, which is painted in gloss or semi gloss cream/white acrylic. For all French White orders apply 10% special order fee on top of price of item/s.
It is also OK to order goods in a “raw” unfinished state, although it should be noted that unfinished furniture has a higher chance of splitting/cracking as there is nothing to stop/reduce the moisture in the timber from leaching out. There is no extra charge for orders in raw.
Due to the potential for customers to be dissatisfied with exact shades/colours, FTA will not order furniture in (for eg) “a darker pecan but without the red undertones”, or any other special requests….. Please point out a range of items stained in the colour your customer has requested and advise them colours vary because each piece of wood is different. We cannot guarantee exact hue.
UPHOLSTERY/FABRIC TYPES/COLOURS:
There are a fair amount of items in the reproduction range that are upholstered. Unless otherwise stated, all such items will be supplied with the “cream fabric” (with the gold floral pattern). The range of fabrics available is as follows:
FABRIC (GOLD FLORAL PATTERN): In “cream” (standard colour), “green”, “blue”, “yellow” (all gold but the flowers are still there), and “burgundy” (or “red”). Sample strips for these fabrics are available from FTA, so if your store does not have any samples please contact FTA to request them. Obviously any non-standard fabrics should have a 10% special order fee added.
VELVET: In a wide range of colours (No samples available) from electric blue to dusky pink, burgundy, gold etc……any special requests we will have to ask the supplier as they may or may not have stock of fabrics, and require too big an order for us to request goods in a fabric they do not have in stock. For all velvet orders apply an additional 10% special order fee.
VINYL: In the three basic Federation colours (Also applies to covered desks such as Partners desks and Escritoire desks etc.) “Black”, “Green” and “Maroon/Burgundy”. For all vinyl orders(aside from desks) apply an additional 10% special order fee.
PLEASE NOTE: Special order fees are partly cumulative, so if a customer orders French white with velvet upholstery, apply one special order fee of 15%. Important to specify this when ordering.
